In the eyes of all those involved and who participated, the Festival of the IslandFirst Edition was a true success. On the right track again this year, the legacy continues and by choosing a different location and changing the date to April 19th, these two organizations are focusing more on guarantying a great show. With compas bands such as T-Vice, Djakout Mizik, Kreyol La, CaRiMi and a Racine band like the legendary, Boukman Eksperyans, the Festival of the Island Second Edition would not be complete without infusing a Dominican flavor into the line-up, therefore hit makers El Lapis will be on hand to make sure that the quality of music is well balance and perfectly synchronized. By adding a series of exciting festivities
surrounding Saturday, April 19, 2008,
the Festival of the Island will prelude
on March 1st with groups T-Vice and Kreyol La at GuacaraTaina. Closer
to the day of the festival, on April 18th
there are two magnificent parties scheduled with Carimi and T-Vice at Club Codia and Djakout Mizik and Kreyol La at Club Libanes. All of these
celebrations will have a hue of the exhilaration, anticipation and togetherness
that will be the center of the Festival
of the Island Second Edition on Saturday,
